The North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) has approved several standards with the purpose of:
These standards require the periodic verification of model accuracy through testing, analysis, and data reporting.
The MOD-025-2 standard addresses the verification of generator real and reactive power capability and synchronous condenser reactive power capability. The standard applies to all generating units and synchronous condensers greater than 20 MVA and generation plants greater than 75 MVA.

Our consultants have experience in modeling, analysis, model verification, and staged testing for more than 19.7 GW of conventional and renewable generating plants. Our Engineer’s know-how, acquired through a large number of projects allow us to perform testing with the highest efficiency.

The MOD-025 stage test is usually conducted in conjunction with MOD-026 (Verification of Models and Data for Generator Excitation Control System or Plant Volt/Var Control Functions) and MOD-027 (Verification of Models and Data for Turbine/Governor and Load Control or Active Power/Frequency Control Functions).
